Weekly creative writing workshops for children in Year 3 and Year 4 (aged 7-9 years). Creativity comes alive in these sessions through engaging prompts like intriguing photos, captivating videos, and interactive role-play. Children will develop their vocabulary and become familiar with story writing, descriptive writing, persuasive writing, and diary entries. Guidance focuses on structuring writing effectively and incorporating language features such as personification, similes, and metaphors. Children will be supported in becoming more independent as writers through self-assessment and by actively working on their next steps for improvement.

The Teddington Tutor - May Half-Term Booster Workshop Booking Policy Thank you for your interest in The Teddington Tutor's May Half-Term Booster Workshops! Please read our booking policy carefully before making a reservation. 1. Booking and Payment: All workshop bookings must be made in advance through our website, www.theteddingtontutor.co.uk. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of full payment. Payment can be made via online bank transfer or credit/debit card. Confirmation of your booking will be sent via email once payment has been processed successfully. Please ensure your email address is entered correctly. 2. Cancellation by The Teddington Tutor: In the unlikely event that a workshop does not reach the minimum required number of participants, The Teddington Tutor reserves the right to cancel the workshop. If a workshop is cancelled by The Teddington Tutor, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another available workshop of equal value. We will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible. 3. Cancellation by Parents/Guardians: Due to the limited spaces and the preparation involved, we have the following cancellation policy: - Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the workshop start date will receive a full refund, minus a £5 administration fee per workshop. - Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the workshop start date will receive a 50% refund of the workshop fee. - Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop start date are non-refundable. Requests for cancellation must be made in writing via email to theteddingtontutor@gmail.com. The date of the email will be considered the date of cancellation. 4. Absence: We are unable to offer refunds for non-attendance on the day of the workshop, regardless of the reason. 5. Changes to Workshops: The Teddington Tutor reserves the right to make minor changes to the workshop content or schedule if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. We will endeavour to inform participants of any significant changes in advance. 6. Communication: All important information regarding the workshops, including any changes or updates, will be communicated via email. Please ensure you check your email regularly. By booking a May Half-Term Booster Workshop with The Teddington Tutor, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in this booking policy.
